Sellerio Autofill Extension — Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Sellerio Autofill browser extension specifically — a separate, narrower document from Sellerio's main privacy policy, which covers the Sellerio web application. The extension's single purpose is to save a filled-out Meesho or Flipkart listing form as a reusable template and fill it back in on a new listing. This page explains exactly what data that requires, where it's stored, and what leaves your browser.
What the extension stores, and where
Saved listing templates now live on your connected Sellerio account, not in your browser. Saving, filling, and deleting a template all send that template's field labels and values to Sellerio's own servers (mysellerio.com) over an authenticated connection — the same data your dashboard's own Templates page shows. This requires connecting a Sellerio account first; see the next section.
The following stay local to your own browser profile, via Chrome's storage.local API, and are never sent anywhere:
- Common details — a separate, single saved set per site for fields that repeat across listings (e.g. country of origin, manufacturer, seller, importer information), if you choose to save one.
- Preferences — dark mode, Auto-fill on/off state, which template (if any) is set to Auto-fill, the floating bar's on-screen position, and a local record of when you last used each template (used only to sort "Recent" shortcuts).
- Bulk-import queues — if you use the Import tab to bulk-fill from a CSV, the imported rows and your place in that queue stay local to your browser until you clear the queue or finish it.
Exporting a JSON backup (from the extension's popup) downloads your saved templates to your own computer — that file is created locally, not on Sellerio's servers, but its contents come from your connected account.
Connecting your Sellerio account (required for templates)
Saving, filling, or deleting a listing template requires connecting a Sellerio account — either by clicking "Sign in with Sellerio" or by pasting an API key. Once connected, the extension stores your Sellerio API key and basic profile (name, email, organization name, plan tier) via Chrome's storage.sync API, so the connection follows you across Chrome browsers signed into the same Google account. The API key is used to authenticate every template save/fill/delete/list request to mysellerio.com; your profile info itself is only ever displayed in the extension's own panel, never sent to Meesho, Flipkart, or anyone else.
"Sign in with Sellerio" opens the real mysellerio.com login page in a dedicated sign-in window (via Chrome's identity API) — your password is entered directly on Sellerio's own site and is never seen, read, or stored by the extension.
What the extension reads on a page
The content script only activates on supplier.meesho.com and seller.flipkart.com, and only once a page looks like an actual listing form. When it does, it can read the labels and values of that form's fields — this is how it captures a template when you click Save, and how it matches fields when you click Fill. It does not read anything on any other page, and does not run at all on any other website.
No selling, no ad tracking, no third parties
- The extension does not sell or transfer your data to any third party.
- The extension does not use your data for advertising, analytics, or tracking of any kind.
- The only network calls the extension makes are to Sellerio's own API (
mysellerio.com) — to connect or refresh your account, and to save/load/delete a listing template whenever you use those features while connected. Nothing is sent in the background outside of an action you took.
Why each permission is requested
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
storage | Stores common details, preferences, and a local usage-timestamp for "Recent" template shortcuts; stores your connected account's key/profile once you connect. Templates themselves are not stored here — see above. |
identity | Powers the "Sign in with Sellerio" button — opens the real Sellerio login and returns an API key, without the extension ever seeing your password. |
Host access to supplier.meesho.com, seller.flipkart.com | Lets the extension read and fill your own listing form's fields — its entire core function. |
Host access to mysellerio.com | Lets the extension verify an API key, fetch your connected account's display name/org, and save/load/delete your listing templates. |
Retention & deletion
Templates live on your Sellerio account and stay there until you delete them yourself (from the extension's Templates tab, the popup, or the dashboard's own Templates page — deleting from any of these removes it everywhere), or until your account is deleted per Sellerio's main privacy policy. Common details, preferences, and bulk-import queues stay in your browser until you clear them yourself, remove the extension, or clear your browser's extension storage. To disconnect a connected Sellerio account, click "Sign out" in the extension's panel or popup — this removes the stored key and profile from your browser immediately (your templates remain safely on your account, just no longer reachable from this browser until you reconnect). Signing out does not deactivate the key on Sellerio's side; do that from Settings → MCP Access on mysellerio.com if the key was shared with you or you want to revoke it server-side too.
